SET AFIRE will scorch the turf.
Race 1
3 REINSTATE Bright guys- Smart transfer. A winner, when saddled by Narendra Lagad, over the same trip and class, is now running at minus 3 kgs.To be ridden by Narendra Lagad’s stable jockey, is now being saddled by Nirad Karanjawalla. Will this trainer try to win with his new charge in his first attempt?
Race No.MUM 10. Jockey Dashrath Singh (REINSTATE) reported that soon after the start his mount threw its head up due to which he lost his left stirrup and lost control over his mount and subsequently his mount drifted outwards and took no part in the race. The Jockey further stated that while going to the Starting Gates also his mount was trying to go towards the exit.
Race No. PUN 241 Trainer Narendra Lagad was questioned regarding the comparative performance of REINSTATE which the filly won as compared to her earlier run in Race No 202 over an identical distance. The Trainer stated that he had given similar instructions in both the races, i.e. either to go to the front or sit back and not to cut pace with another horse, which App.P.Trevor could not follow and had cut pace with another horse and the filly had nothing left in her near 500 metres and fizzled out. He said that the common horse SADDLERS RULE may have performed poorly today. The earlier race was viewed. The explanation was noted since the horse was at longer odds and SADDLERS RULE had met with interference in this race.
5 GERRAD Has the benefit of a Mock Race. Appears to be the next best
Race 2
6 DREAM TALK Thrice a winner in three runs in a row, is now running at a feather weight.
4 LIVING THE DREAM Ranged up alongside STAR WARRIOR to finish a good 4th to ELOISE. Was found to be sore by the right fore leg. A good effort with sore legs.
7 SABA Twice a winner.In good form.
Race 3
1 AMORE MIO After having put in a good performance to her ownermate ANGELO in 40 to 86 is now attempting 20 to 66. Should win.
5 FLYING JEWEL Chewed Shyam.S.Habbu's DANTE ROSSETTI in her last effort with J.Pradeep in the saddle and also took care of CHINGARI in the process. Dashrath Singh will not miss the board.
6 CHINGARI Covered a world of ground to fly on the outside to win impressively. At a tidy whipless weight.
8 ICON Ran in Black type races. His last effort was not noteworthy.
Race 4
6 ATTILA His last effort finishing close to FOREST FLAIR was after a break, without any trackwork. Very well prepared now. The Brazilian can guide him to victory.

2 SET AFIRE After setting the pace to ELIZABETH(who is competing in the 1000 Guineas),in a terms race, ended up 4th.Earlier,after doing all the dirty work of being upfront in a 1400 metres race, gave up to STAR OF VENUS to end up a good close 5th. STAR OF VENUS had since won a race in 40 to 66.Taking into account the weak opposition faced by this filly today, appears to be a sitter in this race. Had maintained her weight between 460 to 465.
